Programs

As a preschool in Chicago, Illinois, Happy Kids Preschool & Daycare Center offers several programs for our students.

Toddler Care

We care for children 15 to 23 months old. Our educational program is constructed so children can learn early social skills, self-service, develop motor skills (like holding a spoon or a crayon, hopping, catching or throwing a ball…), learn to talk, learn early math, like counting, patterning or sorting, learn about the world (people, animals, families, nature…) and much, much more. We sing, dance, paint, draw, and do lots of other activities, so our day is full of games, play, and learning. We potty train. Our classroom is safe, colorful, and equipped with safe, age-appropriate toys and educational materials. (Program unavailable in 7622 W Belmont location)

Preschool

We care for children 2-5 years old. Our educational program includes learning languages, math, science, art, music, and much more. We teach through play, based on Piaget’s Theory. We put much pressure on what children see around us. We teach children aesthetic values because we believe that a human who can see and understand nature, art, and music understands the world better. Science, art, and music are some of the most essential and creative activities during the preschool years. Because we are sure we create future doctors, lawyers, teachers or maybe even a President, we always raise our teaching scopes. Our program is based on Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards.

Kindergarten

We offer a full-day Kindergarten approved by the Illinois Board of Education. Our program is based on the Illinois Kindergarten Standards. We teach Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Physical Development and Health, Fine Arts, Foreign Language, Social/Emotional Development… We do our best to open your child’s creative capability, to teach them how to be independent and liable people, and to prepare them for school education. This program is only a full week.

Spring break, summer camp, holidays

We are open all year long except New Year’s Eve, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. If you are looking for care during not listed above holidays, Spring Break or vacations, we are a place for your child.

Adaptation Program

This program is created for shy and crying children. The parent can be with the child for an hour a day for the first week (10.00-11.00) or 3.00-4.00). Then, for the next month, the child stays by himself for 3 hours a day, every day. After that time, the child is ready to keep full-time.
